OEM sized Duratracs

So there's a million posts here on Duratracs but I can't find anyone with chrome 20" who switched over to OEM sized Duratracs.

Ideally I'd like to get the RC 2.5 and 275/55 R20 Duratracs but I'm wondering if they'll look too small.

I do a lot of towing and commute in the truck from time to time so gas mileage is (sorta) important.

TIA,

Jon

I just put 275/60/r20 on the factory 20's with a 2.5 level and to me they look and ride perfect. I didnt really want anything wider as I was looking for taller to fill out the wheel wells a little more and In my "opinion" I think the 60 is just right. Not to small and not large enough to rub. I only have about 2K miles on them, but they ride smooth and the sound is not so loud that it over powers the radio but you can definitely hear them when it is turned down.

Gas mileage appears to have dropped significantly since the change from the factory 275/55/r20 good year Sr/A.

I went from averaging close to 18-19 (80/20 hwy/city) to now 15-16 but I'm not 100% sold on it being the tires because my very first tank after the tire upgrade equaled 17.6. I had my first oil change, the 4wd tsb update and the temperature has dropped and now I'm getting the 15-16. So I'm not really sure what might be going on.

I actually was about to put a post out there to see what others might have to say about this weird drop.

I hope this helps. These tires look amazing with the chrome 20" wheels when there all shined up.

Believe cold weather is your biggest issue right now. These things drink in the winter

I have 2" front and 1" rear lift with 275/60 20 Hankook Dynapros. They are supposedly only 2 pounds heavier than the stock size 20's. The Duratracs are about 8 lbs heavier. I don't think mileage has changed much but I've been pulling a trailer 50-100 miles on a tank full pulling boats back home and to storage and utility trailers. Closing time at the lake. I do notice since the recall that instant mileage has really decreased. As far as size, I think it finally looks good.

And yes werked, I am still trying to get pics. Lol. Sorry.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm kinda torn on mileage. Mine drops in the winter because of the remote start too - maybe that's a factor. I know the 60's look so much better.

I gotta get new tires in the next few days and I do pull a trailer 400 miles round trip every week. I am so torn on the Duratrac 60 or 65 right now. I haven't seen any pictures of the 60s. Going to be on stock 20" wheels.

I should have added that the inst mileage decreased prob because of recall. That's a whole nother story on a seperate thread though. I don't think the tires hurt mileage.

How are you liking the Dynapros? As far as I can tell I believe you and I are the only folks on the forum that have them. I've got a set LT 275/65/18's and they have worked well for heavy towing and daily commuting.

I run duratracs on my LJ but don't think I need something quite so aggressive on the sierra....they do look great tho. Now after seeing a few pics of them installed I don't know anymore. They do make them in a p now so that is a plus. Why is deciding on a tire so difficult ugghhhhh.
