Discount Tire install - minor botch

It looks scratched up but that's actually just whatever grease or adhesive they used for the install. They Definitely didn't clean it up afterward.

It is soap, it is a good thing and will clean up when the truck is washed.

Did you bring it back ?

So, I have not brought it back yet. Yesterday was a long and busy day at work so no time. However, i checked the other tires more closely last night with a flashlight and noticed that the sticker is still in there in all 4 tires. The only difference is that with the other 3, the stickers only show by a millimeter or two and very hard to see. That said, I plan to give them a call at lunch today and see how they decide to respond. I'll probably base my decision off that. They obviously had to reset my TPMS when installing, and that doesn't seem to be reading very accurate now vs. my tire gauge that has always been fairly accurate. So I may just sacrifice an hour after work today and get them to correct both issues.

They may no know that they have someone in ths shop installing them that way.

Let us know what response you get.

Teaching the TPMS which tire is on which corner doesn't calibrate them for pressure accuracy.

For those wondering, I called in this afternoon and a shop manager happened to answer. He was very cool about it, apologized and said to bring it in and they'd take care of it. When I got there a couple hours later, I was helped by someone else as the manager was busy. The guy that worked with me wasn't quite as friendly about it, he seemed to have an attitude and tried telling me over and over that they NEVER take those stickers off and that was completely Normal (lol), BUT then said he understood I just spent a lot of money on them and if it bothered me they would pop them off to remove. Although I was a bit annoyed at what felt like him blatantly lying to me, and coming off as they were doing me a favor, I remained friendly and let them fix their mistake. They just had to pop the bead and they came right out.

They also forgot to give me back my lug key at the end. No hard feelings, but not impressed overall and probably will look for a different local shop next time around.
