bigger tires on v6?

i think ill stick with max 33s, like arkenzo said. really dont want to spend sh*t ton of money on regearing

. I'm also wanting to know how your tuner did for your truck?? I have 35 12.50 on my v6 but the only measure 34 1/4 ..plan on regearing my truck after the holidays ..

Hey Nitro! For sure remember you man haha. The I have my tuner set on the e85 tune and the throttle boost at 20%. I feel like it made a big difference. Feels much more responsive. Don't regret it. I previously had the MPG tune and it did work, decided to go with the e85 tune doe.

 

I'm rocking the Airaid Jr kit. From what I read, any 5.3 CAI can work in our 4.3 as long as you get the 4" to 3" connector.

 

@dpassmo, how does your truck feel with 35s? Doesn't it feel slow? And how long have you had them, isn't it bad for your gears?

I believe they were 265/70/17's but yes, I was pleasantly surprised! I started with 295's and they told me I could go bigger so I did! they told me I could go with 315's on the stock 17's but they were concerned they'd rub too much. I was told by TFT that these are considered 34" tires.

 

Who considers your tires 34" tires? The only way to find out what size they really are is to measure them.

Rogah my tires r no different then these 34 inch tires .. there only measure 11.50 wide also.. it puts fine .. the v4 to v6 shutter is prob the worse thing .. that's y I was asking about the tuner would like to disable it..

I’m trying to put 22x14 rims on my truck with 33s  I have a V6 4.3 lifted 7 inches. Will the truck be able to handle those rims if I re gear and get a diablo tuner?
