Oversized tires/wheels and speedo compensation

For those of you with larger than oem tires, what do you do, if anything, to correct the speedo reading? Do you worry about things like adding "phantom" mileage that isn't really there, or excessive trans wear? Does the decrease in fuel economy bother you? Are there any stories of negative experiences due to oversized tires?

I gather, from the overwhelming responses here that nobody really cares about their speedos reading incorrectly. :dunno:

Doesn't bother me really. My spedo reads 3% low after the larger tires being installed. Keeps the miles down, Ha!
