2015 Sierra 1500 Elevation Edition

Hello all,

Any input on this truck? I am huge fan of the black wheels, and the looks of the Sierra over the Silverado. Initially I didn't think I would, but this truck is good looking. Issue I have is, the interior I am assuming (because its a base) is quite simple. Smaller screen etc..Is there a comparable Silverado? Black rims, sportier look? Reliability wise, are they the same?

I have a silver SLE Sierra. Had I seen the silver Elevation with the black trim and wheels, I would have bought that one instead. I didn't see the Elevation package until a month after I got mine.

I got mine a few weeks ago. I actually like the simplicity of it....and I get looks and compliments everywhere I go. I've only seen the Double Cab, and have found a lot of them seem to be V-6....mine is the 5.3L. My friends gasp when they see it loaded with firewood

I believe you can order, or find one with some upgrades. Maybe the Back Up Camera would come with the upgrade Radio with the bigger screen. The MSRP on this one was just a tic over 42k. So far, I'm really enjoying it.....my last truck ('13 Silverado) had more options, and the only one I really miss is the Back Up Camera w/ Sensors, but I plan on buying a Back Up Camera that is compatible with my Garmin Nav Unit.

The 2016's come with a 7" screen in the Elevation (instead of 8" in the SLE / SLT / Denali). They're only double cab as well.

The one thing I don't like on them is the floor shift 4wd. But if you were going for a 2wd that would be a non issue.

The 4.2" screen is the only one available in the 2015 Elevation Edition. You can get a Rally 2 edition Silverado with the black grille and black 22" wheels. The Rally 2 has the 8" screen and you can get Navigation as an option. The Silverado and Sierra are built one behind the other on the same assembly line, by the same employees, in the same factory. The reliability is the same, no difference at all.

It looks like Chevy Rally Edition is slightly better interior wise. I like the larger screen and some of them have the leather seat option? Between the Rally & Elevation Series, which is cheaper? They are beautiful trucks.

I don't mind the floor shift for the 4wd, I had it in my '06 Silverado, but I did like having the Auto 4wd option in my '13 Silverado....I could hammer it at anytime and not worry about having the truck all over the road....one of those things I miss but can live without.

Not sure of the pricing on the Silverado, but I know the GMC Elevation can be had with an MSRP below 40k

No crew cab option for the Rally?

The Rally 2 is available on a Crew Cab Short Box.

Yes, you can get leather with the Rally edition. The Elevation is cheaper because it has fewer options. It's basically a base model Sierra with some blacked out trim/wheels, power windows and locks and carpet.
