best gear ?

I have a 2006 Chevrolet 1500 4x4 with 35" mud tires and im looking to go with a different gear then the 373 and I wont to put in a stall but I don't know what size I should go with what do yall think ?

35" tires are about 10% bigger than stock. If the stock tires were 31.6 inches. 4:10 gears would be 10% lower than the 3.73. 4:56 would be 20% lower. Not sure on the newer trucks, but on an old Camaro I had, once you hit 3:90, you had to change the whole carrier, not just the ring and pinion. This was due to the thickness of the gears.

4.56 gear ratio is best for 35" tires you will need a new carrier for anything lower that 4.10. You will need to flash your speedo mine was 10-15 mph off when I geared to 4.10
