Trade in prices? 14/15 models

Curious what some are getting on trade in, I may wanna trade my 14 Sonoma red All Terrain SLE with 14k on a new one, Anyone trade anything similar in lately? for that mater lets have a trade in thread to go along with the prices thread,

please list model, notable options, and miles, as well as location or close major city

well if you leased you are guaranteed the residual value, I believe. my lease has about 10 months left and it looks like I'll be 5K ahead of Kelly Black Book. So i'm going to to buy it and see if I can get a better price than that.

right now the book on mine is just under 33k, haven't talked numbers yet, no deals on 16's yet

I just traded back my lease of a 2013 Sierra SLE double cab (bottom pic in avitar) with 25000 miles. Buy out would have been $22,000 and they gave me $25300 towards a 2015 SLT double cab (top of avitar pic) on a 39 month lease. Plus with discounts they knocked down the price from MSRP $48160 to 37480 before trade. My payment is $14 less a month then my old payment with a residual of $26000 and no cash down. Not a bad deal.

2014 Silverado 1500 High Country, 6.2L, MyLink with Navigation, Sunroof, Trailer Brake Controller, Driver Alert, White Diamond, etc. I got $38K for it with 18,500 miles. I would have gotten more if some dipshit hadn't rear ended me when the damn thing was less than six months old.

They already had it down some then there were a couple of incentive GM discounts and the best was a GM Family and friends discount. It helps to have a retired GM uncle. Lol.

I traded in a 2014 SLE double cab (MSRP 45,000) which I had paid 36,000 for. It had 9000 miles and was 18 months old. I got 28,500 on trade which equated to a $31,000 private party sale given the 8.25% sales tax credit applied to the new purchase.

 

I gave the dealer my truck plus $11,500 (= $40,000) to bring home a 2015 crew SLT all terrain which had an MSRP of $52,000. This was after all fees and taxes (NY charges tax on the "rebates"). I was able to take advantage of the 20% off rebate.

I recently got 2 different trade in quotes on my 6 month old 2015 6.2 ltz...36k and 37.5k. Not at all where I was wanting. Considering the truck was 53k new and only had 4900 miles on it. But seems to me these trucks are worth about the same whether 3 months old or 2 yrs old...

Local GMC dealer offered 36k for my Dad's 2014 Sonoma red SLE z71 CC. That was towards another GMC though.

what was the miles? was it a A/T? I really am thinking of jumping into a 16 to get the color of my choice, its just hard swallowing GM's BS, charging for thing they shouldnt be, prices went up again and less warranty and service plan,

11k miles. Not an A/T. It's a 4x4, z71 crew cab Texas edition, leather bench seats, nav, pretty loaded for an SLE. Looks showroom new. Rhino liner, underseat storage, etc.

Yea the dealership will rape you on a trade. The 6.2's are commanding a pretty high resale price in the private market though.But you have to factor in the savings on the taxes when you trade in. Sometimes it is a wash and easier to trade it in.

I have a 2014 Silverado Crew cab LT 4x4. I took it to the dealership at 17,700k miles on it a month or so ago and they offered 28k for it. On Kelly Blue Book it has a trade in of almost 29k and private party of almost 32k. I traded in an 09 Z71 Crew cab Colorado for mine and dropped my payments $72. I thought it was a no brainer, bigger better truck with more options and a new warranty. I like my truck but always see some at dealerships that catch my eye. If I can lower my payment again like that, you can bet I'll be parting ways but that will probably around 2019. I did see a nice double cab on lauras gmc that has a 6in lift and 35's for 39k. I was in St. Louis last weekend but the ol ball and chain wouldn't let me go for a test drive.

You also have to take into account that most of us didn't pay any where near MSRP. I paid nearly 25% off of the msrp and so did many others on here. The truck may have stickered in the low 40's but bought it in the low 30's. Vehicles loose about 20% or more the first year of ownership so that would make my $43k truck that I got for $33k worth about $25k and less than that on a trade in. The only way you would get more is if you are trading and the dealer does not knock as much off on the new truck.
