2003 Silverado 1500 purchase question

Looking at a 03 Silverado with 75k on it. Any issues to look for? Can I expect to get lot of years out of truck? Also if I buy plan on adjusting torsion bars a little - any issues with doing this? What is biggest size tires I can run?

How long has it sat? Seems like low miles, but has it sat for 5 years?

 

Rust on the wheel wells, rockers and cab corners are pretty bad on those years.

 

Fuel pumps usually let go around 100,000 miles.

 

I cranked my torsion bars, it rides a lil rougher, but no big deal.

 

You might be able to fit 33's, but the front lip of your bumper may rub.

 

They're pretty reliable, mine has close to 275,000 on the original drivetrain. I've replaced the front wheel bearings, fuel pump, all calipers, master cylinder and other "low dollar" maintenance items. I still drive mine everywhere without hesitation!
