DRL socket burned

On my 05, I replaced the DL the other day and it burned out the new bulb within 24 hours. Is that particular harness modular? I need to replace the socket as the plastic around the connection point is fried now, must have a short in it.

Nope. It is a splice job

Common problem with an easy fix. GM has a redesigned socket and higher rated bulb waiting for you at your dealer. 5 minute splice job and you will never have this issue again.
