Copycat Toyota

Is it just me or does anyone else see some pretty big design queues from the major brands on the 2016 Toyota Tundras? For example, the next time you get behind a Tundra, ask yourself if the tail lights of it resemble closely those of the 2014 Silverado. Also, ask yourself if the upper lip on the tailgate is not a dead ringer to the 2014 Silverado/Sierra. While we are talking about tailgates, ask yourself if the notch on the lower half of the Tundra's is not very similar to the one on the F-150. Finally, as you sit next to a Tundra at an intersection, look at the fenders. Does that flare not look just a bit too similar to the Silverado's/Sierra's? Even the wheel openings seem only slightly less rounded than the Silverado's. The only conclusion I can draw is that Toyota, seeing they cannot beat them in sales, have aped the design of the real trucks in hopes buyers will get confused and buy their trucks instead of GM and Ford trucks.

To be clear, the Toyotas had many of the features you say they are copying, before these others were out. Likely a coincidence. Toyota Tundras look alot better than 2016 GM offerings though.

Tucks in general are rapidly becoming homogenized.....if it sells they will build it. And make no mistake....the manufacturers watch what we do to the trucks aftermarket.....notice how this stuff comes standard in new models?!
