Aux Lighting Switch

It's on a 2000 3/4 ton GMC 4x4 standard cab.  It's not the fog lights and there are no clearance lights? Somthing to do with Snow Plow Prep and additional lights for the plow.  The button is located next to the passenger air bag switch(keyway)?  Any ideas? :werd:

I don't know if it has the Plow prep or not?  

What is the Plow prep code?

maybe an override to switch the power from your headlights to the lights on the plow ???

I thought it was a switch for a roof light.  Harness, I thought was in the rear pillar or headliner

GF7PE is correct, the switch is for a roof-mounted beacon. There should be a wiring harness coiled up above the headliner right over the rear of the roof somewhere.

G......Yup that switch is part of the VYU snow

plow prep. pkg.......The wires (in a loom)

run under the floor carpet up the left rear pillar

to a relay in the left rear pillar near the

seatbelt anchor bolt ...then deadhead in the head-

liner.  There will be  + brown and - black wires.
