Yeah, I like them. I just ordered a set for my 2014 Sierra!

Good idea. Looking at my truck, I have 20k on the the truck and no chips yet. I'm thinking my factory side steps/running boards prevent this. Any thoughts?

Yep.. the side boards help preventing a lot of chips on the side of the truck. My old 2014 didn't have these...but I had running boards... and no chips on the side with 30K miles..

Edit-my truck already has these lol.

I noticed it on my 16, if I had a brighter color I would not like it but, on the Tungsten it blends in. My last truck had 32k miles on it and I never noticed any chips in that spot.

Anyone have a GM part number for the protector

23469126 Protector, Pubx Paint(Black) – LH 1 23469127 Protector, Pubx Paint(Black) – RH 1

These are the part numbers I used with my parts department. They list for somewhere around $14.00 ea. I got them down to $9 something a piece.

Also - my 2016 has the gravel guard paint all the way down the lower sides ... I don't remember my 2014 having this..
