Transmission Filter Part#s

I went to purchase a transmission filter this weekend and noticed that Purolator listed two for my truck. One is for a 4L60E-SP and the other for a 4L60E-DP. What is the SP and DP?

Shallow Pan and Deep Pan, I have posted threads here and on other forums and cant get any definate answer to what is a deep pan and a shallow pan. As of right now I believe I have the deep pan. It is approx. 3 inches deep and has a shallower part toward the rear to clear the exhaust. But still have no hard measurments, so that is just a guess!

I think you've got the deep SilveradoWV.  Description sounds just like mine and mine is definitely the deep.

 

By both and take one back.  Or buy the deep and if it doesn't fit, you need the short    Just kidding.  Just make sure, you don't want to be pulling from a deep pan through a short filter!
