Skid plates for 15 Sierra 2500

Hello all , just purchased a new 2015 Sierra 2500 slt 4x4. Wanted to know options (if any) for skid plates as I didn't get a z71 package . I do not plan on lifting truck as its high enough for me stock .Thanks guys

You should be able to order the factory Z71 skid plates directly from your dealer.

X2 on that i had to add them on my last 1500 dealer installed them for me, piece of cake.

I wonder if the aluminum skid plates everyone is adding to their 1/2tons will fit the HD trucks.

My front factory plastic skid plate is busted already. I would look for something aftermarket.

GM offers full metal sets (not sure if they are aluminum or steel) for 1500 and HD trucks. 23294258 is the kit for HD trucks. You get a replacement metal piece for the front plastic engine splash shield, an oil pan and transfer case plate.

On the 1500, both big pieces are plastic from the factory. The big one with the square hole in it is plastic from the factory (aerodynamic shielding if you will) and the other big piece is that front splash shield (also plastic from the factory, all trucks have that front one).

Does anyone know if GM part number 23269406 is made of steel or aluminum rather than the plastic one That's on there now
