2003 When will they be available????

Does anyone know the time frame for the 2003 1500HD?  I going to wait but all the pictures and articles are killing me!  Does anyone have a guess as to when the 2003 will be in dealerships.  Any help is great.  Thanks

If your looking to buy, wait!  The 2002's will go down in value more so because of the 03's

CC are you planning on buying the new style silverados when they come out?

You might be able to order or pre-order one in June/July time - don't know for sure, so check w/ a favorite dealer.

 

I have done this with what used to be called option 1, and the hardest part is often finding out exactly what options and configurations are offered, etc.  But the dealer should have the info by the time they can order - probably right on the computer.

 

I will be likely ordering come Summer, so I'll try to keep everyone updated here as well.

On a somewhat-related note...Does anyone know when they stop taking factory orders for the 02 silverado's?

I'm not certain, but I would expect no later than mid June, and probably more like early June as in July the plants are shut down for the 2 week model year changeover, so lots of line workers are on vacation then.

 

If it was me, I'd be checking w/ dealer, or whoever, in early May to find what the cut-off it.  When I ordered my '99, originally it was the older model, then they cut off production of the older C/K because they stopped building the 5.7L, for the C/K anyways, and the dealer (a good one for a change) was able to switch me to the new Silverado.  This was June as I recall.

Actually you can start ordering in July and you won't start seeing them until late August, early September.  Trust me, I've ordered nearly 13 vehicles over the past few years.

 

Usually by mid-July is the cutoff date between ordering current year and ordering the next year.

That seems to be true for GM.  However, today I PDI'd a 2003 TL Type-S.  What is it?  Only February?  Only line change was adding OnStar.  Was Honda in that big of a burry to forget the 2002 model year?

That's also not uncommon in the industry.  The new CTS is already on the roads nut it is technically a 2003 model too!

 

It's all marketing.

It's not uncommom to bring out a brand new model really early like the CTS, Escalade, and if you guys remember way back, the 1984 Corvette...but the Acura TL is just a carryover model.  Carryovers usually don't hit dealer lots till around the September timeframe.
