My truck in order to get into passing gear you almost have to dent the floorboard to get her to kick down and my buddies 03 6.0 is the same way, Is this normal or is reprogramming in order ?

i think its that new throttle by wire or whatever it is called.  I drove a 6 liter and the pedal feel felt much different than my 00 5.3

your right there, the throttle does have a totally different feel compared to my 99.

My 03 is the same way, all the way to the floor before it gose in to passing gear.

Mines not like that. I can just kind of goose it and it kicks down. Maybe it`s got something to do with rear end ratios. I have the 3.73 rear end.

Yeah, I've notied the same thing w/ my '03 5.3L compared to my old '99 5.3 - gotta push farther to get to the action - but when you do, it rolls!!  I have the 4.10 rear end BTW.

I have a "real" transmission in my 03 so i can just downshift myself and not be lazy
