Stock DQS Tow Mirrors vs. S4O Accessory Tow Mirrors?

I know this topic has been beat to death and I have read pretty much all the threads on it. I just want to clear one thing up for sure.

Is there any difference whatsoever between the two mirrors besides power folding?

$500-$600 online cost for the 2x accessory mirrors vs. nearly $500 per mirror buying the DQS mirrors separately. If the only thing you gain is power folding, seems ridiculous.

Either way you still need to purchase 2x door harnesses. I have a late 2015 Denali so I don't need BCM recal or switches or anything else. I don't care about memory function.

The accessory mirrors lack the power fold feature. Both the black and chrome kits are basically the DPN mirror. That is the only difference.

I really want those mirrors but I don't have the cash right now for them...

Yeah it's steep. For the accessory non-power-folding mirrors you can get them for $550 shipped, but you still need 2x door harnesses ($70 each = $140) and the labor. Dealer wanted 3-4 hours labor @ $105/hour to install mine. Definitely will do it myself, it's not hard just time consuming. Depending on which package you start with, you might need new switches or BCM cal too. It can get expensive quick.

Whats the difference visually? That other thread is way to big. I dont have power fold now and dont need them.

I had DL8 mirrors and bought "previous" style black mirrors. They were GM specifically for this body style. Signal in glass does not work, but all I cared about was the power glass movement and defrost. They work like a charm without any mods.

I purchased mine off a user on this website for a steal, but you can find them on EBay for less than $400 a pair.

Having just done the swap and having waited for someone to sell a set with power fold I agree they are over priced just for power fold.

However I REALLY wanted power fold. To many times I worry about someone else taking out my mirrors while I'm inside a store or something. Not to mention these mirrors are much larger than the regular mirrors you will be replacing.

In the end it's obvious. Is power fold important to you or not? Is it worth $500 to or not? Or is it worth you waiting a month or two for someone to sell a set used that have power fold and you get a deal?

Again me personally it is very worth it .

I never use power fold on my current mirrors, but I feel like I really would with the much larger towing mirrors. I have no problems waiting a month or two for a set to go up for sale. Almost won some off eBay yesterday.
