Factory Rearview Camera Add

Maybe you missing wires for camera. There should be wires from the rear connector to your HMI. Verify you have factory wires there. Second, check the camera for bad wires. I bought a used camera from the junk yard and it turns out the camera had bad wires. One was completely cut, another had wire expose in multiple location. 

 

Question for you, does your screen change color when you change to reverse?

The original tailgate lock wire harness only had 2 wires, but the plug it connected to has 8 wires. The used lock with camera wire harness has 8 wires and it plugs in perfect...although the wires are not the same color...but the lock works just as it did before. All the wires appear to be in good condition, although I did not check any of them for continuity. The screen doesn't change at all, it keeps the radio with time and temp displayed. I'm thinking there's an issue with the OBDGenie because it goes through a series of flashing lights but the flashing red never stops and turns green after a few minutes like the instuctions say it will once complete.
