scraping noise in passenger side firewall

My truck has developed a slow scraping noise its most noticeable while not moving. You can also hear it on the passenger side of the engine bay... when i take the serpentine belt off the noise stops... no check engine lights or anything. any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Tensioner pulley?

The strange thing is that noise doesnt seem to come from the pulleys, but more like the back side of the engine...
