Hi I have just ordered a 2016 Silverado 2lz and have found a great deal on a set of 20" rims and BFG all terrains in 305 55R20. I will be putting on a 2.5" level and have some concern going to a full on 33 as far as MPG. My truck only has the 3.23 gears in the 8 speed as i wanted the painted front end of the non max tow. Does anyone have experiece with a setup like this?

Thanks

First learn how to use the search function, it will get you most if not all the info you are looking for. Second, any time you modify a vehicle, no matter what engine size or gearing, with bigger tires and a lift then you are going to take a mpg hit. No if, and, or buts about it. If you are worried about losing a few mpg's then don't put the bigger tires and level on it. You gotta pay to play.

I've posted this a bunch:

2015 Sierra Crew Cab 4x4, 275/60-20 BFG KO2, 2" RC level, no front air dam, AFM disabled, took this picture when I was nearing the end of a 140 mile trip. That's the mileage I would see driving to Grand Rapids or Detroit. Lifetime MPG average for the truck was in the 17's

To add to his post above he stayed with a 275 width and that tire is still P-Rated load tire, not a LT tire.

I stand correct, but the tire is still light and narrow.

My 295s are in the 65lb range and supposedly the wind resistance is a big enough difference to be effecting MPG as well.
