285/55/20, without level/lift

Is anyone running 285/55/20s without level/lift? Factory GMC all terrain wheels and Toyo R/T is what I'm looking at.

Fit is subjective. It depends on if you like turning.

How was clearance for you without level? Was planning on a 275/60/20 but prefer the width over height with the 285/55/20.. Don't personally know anyone running them so was hoping some had their experience to share.

No different than stock. They're just a wider tire, not taller. I feel like they're perfect for what I wanted.

I run 285/55s on my truck. Just felt like being a dick I guess. My situation is somewhat different as my wheels are 20x10 with negative offset. 2.5 level. I would think this size tire would rub at stock height on stock wheels, especially with the aggressive lugs on the RT.

Pickup looks awesome, those wheels are spot on.

I might have to just bite the bullet and get some adjustable bilsteins. My shop seems to think they'll fit bone stock so we are going to give it a whirl this week.

No different than stock. They're just a wider tire, not taller. I feel like they're perfect for what I wanted.

A 285/55/20 will be taller AND wider than the stock 275/55/20. The difference isn't much, but they're larger than stock.

Mounted tires today, no rubbing. 'Twas dark before I could get pictures, but there is plenty of room.

Ended up with 285/55/20 Toyo At2s, not r/t. Although, I think the r/t would also fit without issues.

dowrk... did you put those tires on stock 20" wheels or aftermarket? I have the stock 18" wheels and tires on my truck 265/70/18 and comparing this 285/55/20 size the overall tire is very close... and based on your experience it fit. I need to replace my 18" wheels with 20" wheels so I am trying to figure out if I should buy 20 x 9 or 20 x 10 wheels?

If I remember right, the recommended is 20x9 for these tires. I couldn't tell you if 10" would cause you issues or not, I would think it would just all depend on your offset. Mine are on the stock all terrain 20s.
