Hello everyone. My name is Bill living in Southern New Jersey and have been looking for a new full sized pick up truck. This truck will be used to go back and forth to work (commercial fisherman) and an annual trip to the keys for camping. After going this year I decided I wanted to start bringing my boat down there for the trip. My boat is a 20 ft privateer which is very light. After looking for the past week I found a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 hd. It has 15000+ miles on it and they are asking 42000 for it. I have a colorado right now I can trade in. My question to everyone on here is 1: how much SHOULD I pay for this vehicle and 2: what kind of gas mileage could I expect while towing a 20 ft boat down to the keys. Any kind of information will be greatly appreciated. If you need to know any more information please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks in advance!

Hi Bill, I would like to know why it was traded in, as it's a 2015 and low klm. I own a 2014 GMC Sierra and tow my boat which is about 4500lbs, I think I'm around 19 for gas mileage. The one problem and s big problem is the headlights in the 2014 and 2015 trucks, the light is so poor it's dangerous driving at night, now I live in Canada and they did a upgrade, boost your ECM and new bulbs, still poor. Speaking with GM they are bringing out a new housing and lights. Not sure if Gam is going to pick up the tab. I know that there was a class action lawsuit in the USA regarding the lights. Hope this helps you, other then the lights I don't think you can go wrong with the truck. Ride is great towing great also.
