700r4 Tansmisson

I have a 93 GMC Sierra with a 700r4 transmission that just went out. i know where i can get a 700r4 out of an 84 chevy and was wondering if my transfer case would bolt up the older 700r4 and if it would work in my truck.

Yes. The 700r4 transmission is identical to the ones in the 80s trucks. Should bolt right up

Not sure if it applies to the 700R4 but you will need to ensure the tail shaft mount is capable of mounting the transfer case. I know in the 4L60 there was a difference between 2 and 4 wheel drives.
