16 headlights in a 15

I assume you cant put the 16 slt headlights into a 15 slt? I searched and it looked like it was a no go.

 

Figures, I just bought a 15 leftover and I just love the 16's that much more. FML

Correct, no go as of now and probably for a bit. It wasn't just a headlight change, there were changes to the harness and to the BCM for the new headlights on the 2016 trucks.

And actually you would have to change the entire front clip. The fenders, hood, grille, and bumper all have a slightly different shape where the headlights fit.

Sorry, but you are incorrect on that thread. OP of this thread asked about the SLT headlights which are the LED ones, the ones in the thread you linked are the SLE projector headlights. 2 entirely different systems.
