Backup LED spot lights

Anyone do this mod?

 

Did you wire it to your reverse lights? Any how to's or which LED housings to get?

led light's your choice - you can mount them in your bumper , or under the bumper . wire to reverse light , or run wire to dash w/switch . www.rigid.com . rigid are good ,But costly $$$$ I got mind from Radco parts - they are floods 1x6 under bumper

I got these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T62RK1U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and just wired them into the trailer receiver lights (no switch). They come on when I shift into reverse, same as the factory reverse lights.

I bought some metal plates from Lowes and bolted them to the truck using existing holes so that they hang down just below the bottom of the bumper. Make sure to solder the wires together and use heat shrink tubing over the soldered area.

I also bought these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MUF1APW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to replace the factory reverse bulbs and they are pretty bright. The combination of the two work very well.

Mounted Rigid Industries flush mount duallys in my bumper after I had them custom powdercoated. These are flood pattern, light up a nice broad area behind the truck. Wired stand alone on their own switch. Like to control them when I want them.
