Scan Tool for advanced use

We have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 with a litany of problems. As we are not in the US, there is no dealer available so we cannot got to a dealer to get anything done. We know we need to initiate a crank sensor relearn. I am currently using Torque on a Android tablet to read error codes and sensor values, but it's just a diagnostic tool, does not allow write operations. Can anyone recommend a scan tool that will allow us to perform the crank relearn and other updates? We only have one vehicle so it cannot be very expensive.
