2014 Backup Camera Issue?

Last night when backing into the garage my backup camera wouldn't come up. Put the truck in reverse and the display stayed normal. Turned the truck off, restarted etc - nothing. Was late and didn't wanna mess with it. Came out this morning to go to work, backup camera works just like normal with no issue.

 

Any thoughts?

I have a 2014 Silverado and I have had the same issues. Sometimes the camera goes black and says "Rear Vision System Needs Serviced" When I shut the truck off it usually clears the problem. I have mentioned it to the dealership and they could not find any codes associated with it. It usually happens when it is raining.

Mine does the opposite, comes on when backing up but will stay on when put in D and continues to stay on till I turn the truck off and restart it. Has only happened twice, once about a year ago and again a month ago.
