I have a 1988 Chevy Cheyenne that needs a part replaced. The panel that contained the build date is no longer on the truck. The vin number is 1GBGC34K8JE184714. Can anyone tell me the build date?

What part are you looking for on it? Running in the catalog, it's too old to give me RPO codes or a build date. Any other details on the truck? From reading the VIN...it appears to be a 1988 C/K truck (the GMT-400 body not the old square trucks), a regular cab 1 ton two wheel drive? 5.7 V8?
