Don't take offense, but when a person buys a base model truck such as what you purchased, they spend the next however many years of ownership trying to upgrade all the features to make it an LT or LTZ. In the end it costs just as much if not more than just buying the right truck in the first place. I have done it before and I will never do it again. Specs are everything, if you can't find what you are looking for, order it.

I get what your saying about trading in all the time being a waste of money, which is true. However, will it matter when I am dead? I don't care all that much about money whether I have or not, because I can't take it with me. Any decisions, good or bad, can only haunt you while your alive, which is actually a very short time. Sure, there are people out there who "did it right", invested their money and made all the smart decisions, but when they kick the bucket, none of that will matter, and I bet they went out with regrets.

So your saying.....its a waste to spend money on one thing, but ok to spend money on trading in all the time?

Interesting concept....i spent the money to lift and put larger tires on my truck, and if you want it done right you regear. So if I want to spend the money to do so, i will

If YOU want to spend YOUR moneu trading in every time a new truck comes out, thats YOUR decision.

Last i checked my bank account...nope no bills paid from anyone else...your opinion on how others spend thier money expecially when you state you spend your money how you want, means absolutely nothing to anyone.

So i got a price finally

4k CDN to go to 4.56 as will need the new carriers, most of that is labor.

2600 to go to 4.10

No new carrier needed would bring me back to stock 3.42 gearing with my lift and tires.

Jesus **** lol

Ok so if you regear to 4.10 it'll be like running 3.73's bro. Actually 4.10's should give you extra. Way cheaper than 4k and way better than 3.42's man. Mine's in the shop now getting done. Couple days and I'll let ya know how it is with 35x12.50's.

Or am I missing something?

Yup, thats what i had found, i posted later that if i went 4:10 and had a shop do it itd be about 2500

Alot cheaper if i do myself, which i may.

I was sure with 4:10s my tires would bring me to 3.42, 3.73 off 4:10 would be more than decent and what i want

When I picked her up at the shop last night they told me it also needed a new front carrier. That the cutoff was 3.42 (could've said 3.73) gears or something like that. My mechanic said the shop manuals must have been printed wrong or something. So now as far as I was

just told if you're making the jump to 4.10's you need new front and rear carriers??

But she's done and is a beast! Love it!

Pretty sure carriers are needed after 3.73 for 3.08 only least in the rear. Im unaure about the front still.
