Hesitation at first startup

It's not a big issue but I would like to fix it before it gets worse. My 99 Sierra 4.8 will give a momentary hesitation when it's first started on most days. It feels like I press the pedal and it doesn't even recognize the throttle has changed. Then it will suddenly kick in and take off abruptly. Very rarely will it do this while out and about but a couple times it's done the same thing when turning across oncoming lanes and left me hesitating when traffic was coming before it finally took off. That's happened twice which is enough for me to take issue!

 

Where should I look first? My truck has 257k on it. Thanks!

I think it has a throttle position sensor, start there.
