Bed Cap fitment question

A friend of the family totaled his truck and the bed cap is in perfect condition. However his truck is a 2012 or 2013 and I was curious if it would fit my 2015 with the same bed length. Cap would only be used a few times a year so install would not be permanent.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated!

What I've read in other threads is no, it won't be a perfect fit.

Thanks!! Looks like some work on the back window at the tailgate is all that's going to need to be addressed. Awesome!
