2015 - differential gear whine at hwy speeds

I've been following this topic for a while. My 2015 LTZ CC 5.3 3:73 2wd has been whining while in 6th gear at hi-way speeds of 67-74. FIVE attempts later and the 2nd rear axle assembly it's still doing it. Oddly, when I use manual and drop down into 5th, the whine is gone - switch back and boom, its back again.

My 2012 had really bad HVAC issues and after at least 5 trips to fix I gave up and traded it for this 2015, which is having bigger issues. I've had 4 Silvies and never had these kinda of issues. I'm jealous of the lucky majority who have no issues. I guess I should start buying lotto tickets as I seem to attract the trucks with issues.

Recently I've read about transmission output shaft and the bearing....I may ask the dealer to attempt that as they are making things worse each time we replace R&P or rear differential. Corporate Chevy hasn't been any help AT ALL. I get a gal who seems nice enough, and claims to be a supervisory level, as my case oversight person, but just there to make a customer feel like something is happening when actually it's not.

Has anyone with this issue considered the output shaft bearing and if so did it correct the whine...? I've got 16,000 miles and have plenty of warranty left.
