Really could use some insight from someone who knows what they are takin g about , I'm pretty good mechanically speaking however have never done a rear bearing on a truck. 1999 silverado 1500 with the G80 rear locker, I have a bit of play in the driver rear wheel. None side to side but a bit when I grab tire at 12 & 9 , also makes a small clunking when I move the tire. I watched a video saying that I need to remove the rear diff cover and remove the axle ... is that really needed to remove the bearing ? Thanks in advance , first time posting here

Any tips or anything to be careful of ?

Remove tire, rotor and calliper ... Pop

Cover off of rear diff , than I should be able to push the axle in ?? And remove the slide pin and c clip ? Once those are out the axle should pull right out ? Pull bearing and insert new one ? Reinsert axle and diff cover and I'm done ?
