Ventilated Seat Question

Hello all,

Just recently bought my truck and have been browsing these forums for a while garnering useful information so I decided I'd finally go ahead and join.

My question is in regard to the ventilated seats on my truck concerning normal operation. When I turn them on, within a very short period, the seat cushion, and consequently my butt, gets quite cold. However, the back of the seat seems to have a much more subtle effect. Are my seats functioning normally? The seat cushion has a much more pronounced cooling effect than the seat back.

Just want to make sure this is to be expected before I make a potentially unnecessary trip to the dealer.

Thanks!

Mine operates in a similar fashion. In my opinion, this is one of the most worthless additions to the truck especially if you carry rear passengers. A fan in the back of the seat pulls air through the seat cushions and blows it out the back. The heat removed from the seating area in addition to the heat generated from the fan makes the back seat rather hot (both to the touch and ambient temperature).

2016's are vented, not cooled, and don't have the vents in the seatbacks.

With that being said, can we put 16 seats on 14-15?! Id do it in a heartbeat, i hate not being able to cool my rear without blowing hot air to anyone in the back

There was a TSB out where the dealer could install some sort of baffle to redirect the air to the floor instead of out the back. I'd first complain to the dealer and see if they can find the TSB. I saw it somewhere in here... http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/
