I just removed the DL3 mirrors and harnesses from my truck to install the Tow Mirrors and harnesses if someone is looking to upgrade to a Non-Towing Mirror option. You would need to add the switch and as someone else mentioned, perhaps have the dealer flash the module. I'd sell them together for $500 plus shipping.

That's for the mirrors with the harnesses on both sides... eBay prices are higher...

People can list whatever price they want on eBay. I'm just saying a realistic price and what they have been selling for is around $300. That's mirrors and harnesses.

I got a set of new take off dl3 mirrors and both door harness's off eBay for $250 and snagged the power fold door switch for $30. My truck is an LT Silverado with the dl8 power and heated mirrors. I'm going to try tackling the install hopefully before September. The only things I really want to work is:

1) turn signal

2) heated mirror

3) power mirror

4) power fold

If I can get key fob power fold and puddle lights to work too then I'll be giddier than a little school girl.

I got a set of new take off dl3 mirrors and both door harness's off eBay for $250 and snagged the power fold door switch for $30. My truck is an LT Silverado with the dl8 power and heated mirrors. I'm going to try tackling the install hopefully before September. The only things I really want to work is:

Let me know how far you get with this. I did the same. Bought DL3 Mirrors with the harnesses and power fold switch. New Harness is installed along with switch. I have turn signals and puddle lamps in both mirrors. I can only control up/down on the driver's side. No left/right control. As for passenger, I cannot control anything. I have been looking at wiring diagrams and pinouts between harnesses and will have a cross reference diagram soon. It's been 105º for 10 days straight. So...one of these days, I'll get back to it. I have torn apart my original harness to harvest the missing wires/pins to load onto the new harness. That's the PITA part. Good Luck

It has been 97 here but I figured I would attempt installing them late Saturday. My truck is a late 2015 mexico build. I used my stock DL8 mirror harness's in both my driver and passenger doors with the DL3 mirrors and power fold switch #23154702.

On both mirrors I have:

1) full motion control up & down/left & right

2) heated mirrors

3) power fold in & out. (only by using door switch #23154702)

I do not have Turn signal or Puddle lamps working as the DL8 harness in my truck does not have pins 1 or 13 on plug X510. *see pic link below*

I ran out of time to swap the DL3 harness's in to see what I would gain/or lose with them lol.

From what I have read, if I swap to the DL3 Harness I will get the same result as you.

1) working turn signals (both mirrors?)

2) working puddle lamps in both mirrors.

3) only up & down control on the driver's side with No left/right control.

4) No power control on passenger side

If we salvage the missing pins 1 & 13 and add them to our DL8 harness we should have everything work but Auto dim/auto tilt and object detection.

I am confused as to why the extra wires on the DL3 harness causes other features to fail? I.E. - the loss of power control for Drivers mirror left/right and all power features to passenger mirror.

Shouldn't we be able to to unpin#'s 2, 15&16 from the DL3 harness and make: power fold in&out/ heating/ full motion/ puddle lamp and turn signal all function rather than taking wires from the DL3 harness and adding them to the DL3 Harness?

You can swap DL8 mirrors for the up-level DL3 mirrors. It just takes a lot of effort. I just completed the swap and it took me two months to do everything properly given my limited free time.

Options I have working:

Power Fold In/Out

Directional Power Adjust

Left/Right LED Turn Signals

LED Puddle Lights

Driver's Auto-Dimming Function

I am hoping to do a write up soon on how to do this swap to OEM spec. I personally bought all the terminals and connectors needed for the wiring harnesses so the wiring doesn't look like a hack job. If you want the dimming features to work you must buy the Auto-Dimming Interior Rearview Mirror. You must buy a proper switch which I believe GM no long has in production. You cannot get auto-tilt in reverse to work without the memory seats module. You do NOT need any VIN or BCM programming for any of this to work.

If you want the mirrors to fold with your key fob I believe you need the memory seats module and BCM programming. But I have not made an effort to try and get that to work.
