Fuel pressure regulator

Every now and then it takes a few extra seconds of cranking over for my truck to start, seems like it's not getting enough fuel. It'll either stumble for a second and then fire right up or I'll let go of the key and it'll die. Sounds to me like it could be a leaking fuel pressure regulator? This is on the truck in my sig.

Or the fuel pump is going. Sometimes as the fuel pump gets older, or if you don't change your fuel filter regularly, which puts more strain on the fuel pump, it weakens and can't keep the pressure up. At some point it may need to be replaced. Just a thought.

Did it start just after you filled up or is you tank getting low? I would try changing the fuel filter first, if you have not changed it in awhile. One load of dirty or contaminated fuel or a bunch of old crap picked up from the bottom of the tank will clog a filter quick.
