3RD Door Lower Latch Assembly Passenger Side won't unhinge?

I have a frustrating problem... 3RD Door Lower Latch Assembly Passenger Side on a 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab won't unhinge for nothing the rods are great the plastic tab is there and works but the latch is so rusty and need the door to open. Can anyone help? I have been trying to figure this out for days. Tried all online videos still can't get the door open. The door trim panel is off too.

 

Also the four nuts on the lower latch are they just nuts? and if I remove them will the latch come off? Or is there away to get this door to open?

Update: Finally with a screwdriver and a good foot push it opened. Also took the latch off and it is rusted solid. So going to buy a new one and replace

Good to hear, sometimes you HAVE to put your foot into it.

I had to replace both of mine. Cost almost $200. Ridiculous.

Yeah in total this 3rd door alone is going to cost me about $100.00 grr which I got lucky on the replacement new parts. Oh well lol
