Need help idle from 500 to 1000 rpms

99 6.0 116,000 miles. Yesterday I changed my intake gaskets with brand new fel pro. Torqued everything down in sequence. Went for a ride it was running worse than when I started. I got to thinking all night about it and relized I forgot to plug the maf in. So I just went outside plugged it in and started up. Idle went all over the place from 500 to 1000rpms almost dying. What do I do now? Could egr tube that's goes into intake leaking cause this? I have a strong feeling it is because it was missing a bolt when I started and still is missing a bolt. Egr valve itself is blocked off

I would first try disconnecting the neg terminal of the battery for 30 seconds then reconnect. Take truck for drive to have it start to relearn the engine. Chances are driving it with the MAF disconnected has set the PCM into an odd state. Did it not set a code?

I did set code for maf. I sprayed carb cleaner on egr tube into intake and it idled right up so I will block that off and see what happens
