Leaf Spring Noise

I have 2015 3500 set up to tow my 5th wheel. Bought it new last fall and it only has 1200 miles on it. Noticed the other day that the drivers side leaf spring is clunking if you push up and down on the bed. It also creaks and moans coming in and out of my driveway.

Took it to dealer today who quickly said yep noise is definitely coming from spring pack and they are ordering a brand new set. I'm not used to a quick repair action from GM!

I have only towed my trailer once (WI winters!) but any idea what would cause this on such a new truck?

I did notice that the shackle bushings are oriented opposite directions from driver side to passenger side but honestly I have no idea if that is the way they are supposed to be?

I have the same problem on my 2014 Gmc AT. The dealer tells me they torqued my springs as they were loose but the clunking noise is from my under coating. They told me to pressure was them. I did that and the sound was gone... For about a week. Now it's back at full force. I didn't really pressure wash the bushings, I'm wondering if that will fix it. I think this is absolute bullshit, every other brand that uses leafs springs and every other year of GM or Chev I'm sure get dirt on them and you never hear that noise. I'm a GM/Chevy for life kind of guy but makes me want to change to Ford which I can't believe I'm saying!

I was surprised my dealer replaced the leaf pack so quickly. It was certainly the problem. No more noise and I have now towed my 5th wheel several times with no issue.

Yeah hit or miss on how dealers respond. I still have no issues or noise since mine was replaced. I did have another issue with my cognito hd sway bar links. The bushings became deformed and squeaked something awful. Even worse then the leaf pack. I took them off and put my oem ones on and no more noise. Disappointed in that product for sure.
