Drivers door doesnt lock

You guys should just for fun check and make sure your locks work with the key fob. I just realized my drivers door only works manually. The fob will arm the alarm and lock/unlock all the other doors but does nothing for the driver door. Onstar doesnt work either. My truck has 35k miles and I am trying to get in to get it fixed before its out of warranty. I have just been working to much.

That doesn't sound right, at the very least your fob should lock your driver door. At this point this shouldn't be something you need to roll into the dealer for, break out your manual and check your programming.

As far as the door lock, the actuator could be broken. Happened to my sisters 08 equinox. She would hit the fob and the lights would blink and the alarm would go on. All the doors would lock except the driver door. But she could lock it manually.

 

Had to get the lock actuator replaced.

 

Shouldn't be an issue while under warranty.

Could be anti lockout detection screwing up thinking the key is still in the truck.

 

Check your center console settings see if you can disable the detection

Yup. Part is in. Already back at the dealer getting them installed.

I had mine replaced around 23K. It got me in trouble too. When I get home from work I have a habit of checking the doors on the truck and the wifes car. I yelled at her because the truck was unlocked almost every day that she drove it. I felt bad when she actually did lock 'em, but the actuator had failed!

This thread made me paranoid lol. I walked around and checked all my doors after locking the truck today today. Mine are still working correctly for now. Knock on wood.

 

Luckily I am able to park it in a spot where I can watch it all day long.
