Wireless charger in console

So here is the wireless charging mod in the center console lid. Cost less then 60 bucks if you know were to buy stuff. I have attached what you will need. I havn't got my charger in yet to show that install but I've done the first part.

 

Once you get the flush mount usb charger then you will take it apart.. I wrapped the ends to protect the connections from coming loss. then you will crimp the t-tap females to the ends. in the back seat you will start from the bottom passenger corner of the console base and start popping the plate off. I used my hands there just popped in.

 

once I got the plate off I cut back the lum to expose the wires, then I crimped the t-tap splices to the wires red go to the purple wire and ground goes to black.. connect the wires and done you have a working usb charger. to verify that it worked I used my usb phone charger and it charged. also it you buy the part I supplied it has a led that will come on.

 

NOW REMEMBER WITH THIS ACC PORT THE TRUCK MUST BE ON. all that will be left is to take apart the wireless charger and mount it under the rubber pad and run the wire I will try to remember to take pictures...

 

 

I will also be making how tos on a Oil catch can, Pop and lock tail gate lock, and a plug and play remote start (evo-gmt3)

The wireless charger is a great upgrade, I did it on my 2006 with the 3 coil Choetech unit. Works really well, somehow manages to shoot through the rubber liner and my Lifeproof.

There is another thread that describes an Amazon purchased 3 coil charger install on a 14/15 model year. I did this mod and it works great. I plugged the charger into a tiny cigarette USB adapter inside the console. Just make sure your phone fits in the armrest tray, Samsung S6 fits fine. Search for the thread. I would but the search tool in this forum hates me.
