Slipping out?

My 06 silverado "slips out of gear" often when coasting or simply not applying pressure to drivetrain. It grinds hard at that time and after stopping and shifting into and then out of 4 wheel drive can be driven again. All splines look good and I've found no shavings in tran ny or transfer case. Any ideas?

replace 4wd switch, had an 03 doing this it would show it was in 2 wheel replaced switch everything fine afterwards
