New to Chevy

Hello everyone I just purchased my first 2015 Chevy 1500 ... I have a couple question for you guys. First off my truck doesn't have navi, only that onstar crap turn by turn . I was wondering if anyone had there unit upgraded through the Chevy to get the nav, and how much does it cost . Second I was wondering if anyone bought hids off amazon and how well they actually worked . Third what do you guys or gals recommend for an exhaust. I don't want it to be to loud , but I don't want people to know its a v8 .... Thanks

Congrats, Welcome, a ton of information here and very knowledgeable people. Search around the site and do some research and you should be able to answer probably 90% of your questions.

Use the search function and then at the top of this forum there are some stickie'd threads. This one thread is extremely helpful with all the shortcuts and addresses the 3 questions you have, just have to do some reading

If I recall, the Nav system is like $800+ and isn't very good from what I have read. For $10/month, Onstar directions can be had. I don't mind the whole Onstar thing, works for me.

I like the factory nav, but if I didn't have it I would just use my cell phone. I do not think it is worth the out of pocket upgrade.

There are countless HID threads on here. I can tell you that if you have the lower fogs, replacing those with LEDs is fairly easy and it looks awesome.

For the exhaust, everyone has their personal favorite. I am assuming you have the 5.3. Only think you need to watch out for is people who get the catbacks, are often disappointed in the sound when the truck kicks down in v4 mode. So that means you will need a tuner or a Range AFM device.

Many guys have also had luck with just cutting the muffler out and replacing it with straight pipe and leaving in the resonator. this provides a great bang for your buck v8 rumble and it is not overly loud and obnoxious like most muffler deletes

Bought a slightly used 2014 Silverado LT ..... Did not need all bells and whistles however I was disappointed to learn that I did not have nav or texting !! My RAV has it !! BAD move by Chevy !! Any advice? BTW LOVE the truck !!
