Need Help!!

Okay...

For a few months now my air conditioner has leaked slowly from the dash. This takes place on the passenger side just under the dash. It never bothered me because it was a slow drip, nothing really to lose sleep over.

Just last night I was cleaning the interior of my truck and pulled the passenger side floor mat up and I noticed the back of the mat was wet in a little spot. I put my hand on the carpet, and there was actually a wet spot in the carpet. Like it had leaked from under the floorboard. Any suggestions on what could be the cause, and solution to problem??

On my Old 1980 Pickup I had a Heater core go bad that leaked on the passenger side floorboard. I was changing hoses and yanked to hard on the hose going to the heater core and it started leaking.

Hope this can shed some light!

Peace

I was thinking something along those lines. My father also suggested something like evaporator valve or something like that. I hate to take in into the shop for this. The AC seems to blow just as hard as it did before.

Sounds like your AC drain is blocked up. There is a drain that lets the water that builds up from condensation inside the AC system drip down onto the ground. Sounds like that might be stopped up. Don't know where it is located on your truck but look underneith for an open end rubber hose in that general area. If you can find it then you can clean it out to allow the water to drain outside instead of inside.
