What rear lift blocks do I need?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2014 1500 and I'm wondering what rear block kit I need for an additional 2" in the rear. Like to find something that replaces the factory blocks. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Just have a 2" leveling kit on the front now and it's only a 1/2" higher in the back now so it like to get the rake back

I'd go tapered to keep the proper angle. Most kits are the same, cast iron block. Sometimes you'll find the fabricated steel blocks but at 3" it's rare

Factory are 1.25. I have 3 inch flat blocks. Haven't had any problems. I have supreme suspension but I had to open the hole the leaf sits in and shave down the nub on the block as it was to long. Wasn't to happy. Tuff country has flat ones too. Flat, angles...not to sure on the correct one type. Do some research and you'll find 50/50 advice. One note I did it add the shock extenders just to be safe.

I know its been awhile since you posted this, but have you had any problems (vibration issues) since installing the 3" blocks?

Also, did you have to use shock extenders for the rear?

I've had no issues whatsoever, rides good with no vibration. And yes i put the shock extensions on too. You don't have to but highly reccomended

Thanks for the response. I have a 2" level on the truck now and I am seriously thinking about putting the 3" blocks on the rear.

I really like the way your truck sits, did you use tapered or flat lift blocks.

Thanks again.

Not a problem, I used the tapered blocks. That's the best way to go
