Removing 2016 Sierra grill

Hey guys, I have asked his in two threads with no answer. Has anyone removed a grill from a 2016 yet? I got a big old chip from a garbage truck on my grill, just wanted to know if the 2016 Sierra grill was easier to remove like the 2016 Silverado, or if the whole upper bumper had to be removed.

I also was curious if the inner area of the grill can be removed, I have an all terrain and I don't want to paint the whole outer portion of the grill especially since mine has xpel on it. Just want to replace the inside portion, I've seen a member here swap the inner portions of the 2015 grill and I'm crossing my fingers I can do that on mine.

I agree with zmnypit on that top cap removal also ran into some clips that are part of the grill that you should treat gently during removal and putting grill back on. Don't force them in hard. I am assuming yours has these did on my 2500 but I thought I would mention it anyway.
