Mileage reading

I have a 2014 1500 Silverado LTZ. Gauges are sticking. Found a new gauge cluster for my truck and am wondering if I need to have the mileage programmed into the new cluster when I have the VIN programmed into the new cluster.

Yes, dealer has to marry the IPC or else you will hose the cluster and brick it.

Barely out of warranty and it is having cluster gauge issues? WOW. That sucks.

When the new cluster gets programmed for the VIN and milage will the old cluster be dead and not work anymore. I am asking cause I was thinking about trying to fix it and sell it?
