Tow mirrors

I put aftermarket tow mirrors on my 2015 double cab z71 4x4 silverado a few weeks ago. Power glass and heated. Direct plug and play into the existing harnesses. I think I paid around $225 for them and they're great.

I did have to drill an extra mounting hole in the door. The instructions said I could have just removed the extra stud but as much work as it was to put them on I figured I'd go ahead and mount them securely since they felt pretty heavy.

The biggest problem was re-installing the aggravating door panels, it's really a 2 person job.

Here's a link to the mirrors I bought, I hope it isn't against the rules:

thank you for the post/info. i have basically the same set up as you. what do you think of the mirrors? do they vibrate or shake? what is the mirror quality like? thanks for your time.

I believe there is a you tube video out there where a guy installed aftermarket trailer tow mirrors on a 14 or 15 Silverado. They were power, but not heated. (Just like my 15 is ) i don't remember what brand they were, but they were plug and play into the existing door harnesses. Why GM can't make a kit like that for our trucks is beyond me. I don't need clearance or backup lights built in. Just a set that are like my existing non heated, non power folding oem small mirrors that are not $1000 to add to my truck GM customer service, are you listening?

quick question for anyone here who might know, I've got a 2014 Denali and installed the chrome powerfold towing mirrors on my truck. They didn't come with them from the factory, so just want to confirm something. If i want all the functions to work like signal, amber light, and puddle light is all i need the new harness's? or will i need calibration as well. The dealer in the city i live in is very uncooperative and just keeps telling me the only way for it to work is to go buy a new one and they even charged me when i told them to reprogram it and they spent "1 hr" on it after i said it could be reprogrammed.

If you purchased the towing mirrors that have the same options your small Denali mirrors have, like power folding, power adjusting, heated, reverse tilt memory and ect. then all you need to do is install the correct door harness and you're good to go, no calibration needed.

so correct door harness and that's it? And then the front facing ambers and turn signals as well as puddle lights will work? Because those are the only things that aren't currently working

Read post #1252 in this thread. He also has a Denali and lists the items you're going to need.
