kind of curious about tires and wheels (please help)

So its deff to late now because the stuff is probably already at 4 wheel parts. BUT I ordered the wheel i want and the tires. Now I got 20 x 9 inch wheels with i think 5 inch or 5.5 offset? sorry if that doesn't seem right I'm new to this and then i got 33x11.25x20 tires. I am afraid that these bad boys are not going to stuck out far enough and are going to look a little weak especially since the tires i got are Toyo RTs. Can anybody shine a little light my way or give me some truth as to what its going to look like? Thanks you guys, please don't hesitate to write back to me on here I need help.

I listened to the video, and it sounds very similar to me. What I hear comes right up through the driver side floorboard, and you can hear it perfectly in the driver front wheel well. It looks like there's a cat or resonator right off the manifold at the Y-pipe, and pressing on it causes the noise to stop.

It is not an actual problem, but it is annoying given how quiet the truck is overall. I might just get a quote from the dealer to change it and the Y-pipe and pay out of pocket to avoid more of the "leave it with us, oh, we couldn't isolate it this morning, we'll try again tomorrow morning" to this point.

Stock back spacing 18" wheels with +26 offset is 5.8 inches. So your new wheels are pretty well centered as the oem ones are.

Assuming it's back space of 5.5"

But they will stick out approximately 1" further than stock and be about .25" closer to suspension.

Tires rims.com has a great calculator that allows you play with sizes.

This handy chart will convert Backspace(inches) to Offset (millimeters). http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/attachments/maxwheeloffsetchartbycodygcarson-jpg.243933/

Really though seems to me at least to be doing things in the wrong order.

How to choose a new tire size / lift / level.

1) You decide what Tire size you want first since that is the most important ex) 35x12.5

2) You select a lift or level that will allow that tire size ex) Procomp 6inch lift

3) Finally you select a wheel fitment that is guaranteed to fit ex) 20x9.5 -6 offset

- Wheel fitment can be stretched beyond that point depending on how much you trim or add a body lift etc but then you are talking a custom offset and each one is unique.

To answer your question a 20x9 5inch backspacing has 0 offset so would sit flush with where the stock wheel does as that is exactly what the 20 OEM's are. 20x9 5.5 backspacing is actually +12 offset meaning it would snug into the truck about 12 millimeters(or .5 inches), NOT stick out. However since you are going with wider tires(OEM are 10.8inch approx or 275mm) the tire itself would stick out a bit but not a lot, maybe 1/4 inch.
