2013 Silvy AC issues, Please Help!!!!

I have a 2013 Silverado LT with duel climate control/AUTO system, pretty standard system in these trucks. The problem I having is the blend doors for recirc and fresh air seem to be closing off and restricting air flow. Like they are both closing at the same time. The blower fan is blowing like crazy and is fully adjustable. This happens on any setting and is intermittent bu usually happens after the AC has been on for about 20-30 minutes. I can bounce the controls fro recirc to fresh air and back it will sometimes fix itself and other times it is just a matter of time before it decides to fix itself. The evap coil is so cold from so little air crossing over it that the little bit of air coming out of the vents blows frosty and ice will form on the louvers.

 

It may be a coincidence but this started happen when I had to replace the batter about a month ago.

Your diagnosis sounds probable. Perhaps disconnect the battery and see if it relearns?

I disco'ed the battery and will let it sit over night and see what happens. My son which is learning to be a mechanic said it needs to relearn via OBD2 or disco the battery for about 12hrs for a hard reset. My previous truck would start getting horrible gas mileage and I would do a hard reset (disco the battery for 12hrs) and the ECU reset itself. I did this about aboy every 5-6 months and it had a lot to do with my occupation and that I use my trucks for work. Weird these new vehicles are.
